Chocolates

I gifted my two year old cousin,

A bar of chocolate and a blueberry muffin.

He got trapped in a vicious trick,

And was totally confused which one to pick.

With pleading eyes, he looked at her mother,

Who in turn gave him a wide-eyed denial.

With his tiny hand, he unfolded the wrapper,

Then, what I witnessed got me startled!!

With a piece of chocolate, he reached his mother

And fed her with immeasurable ardor.

She couldn't resist and broke into laughter,

And for sure, he got her smothered.

Now, he knew his work is done,

And started eating chocolates with great passion

That day I learnt a valuable lesson,

If you have a problem or someone, you want to placate

You just have to offer a plateful of chocolates…J
