Chocolates

I gifted my two year old cousin,
A bar of chocolate and a blueberry muffin.
He got trapped in a vicious trick,
And was totally confused which one to pick.
With pleading eyes, he looked at her mother,
Who in turn gave him a wide-eyed denial.
With his tiny hand, he unfolded the wrapper,
Then, what I witnessed got me startled!!
With a piece of chocolate, he reached his mother
And fed her with immeasurable ardor.
She couldn't resist and broke into laughter,
And for sure, he got her smothered.
Now, he knew his work is done,
And started eating chocolates with great passion
That day I learnt a valuable lesson,
If you have a problem or someone, you want to placate
You just have to offer a plateful of chocolates…J

The Missing Factor

I knew not from where
But I think I hear,
Sound of giggles,
And a sound of laughter.

Into the woods,I followed,
Anxious to find that happy soul.
Long and long I traveled,
To find piety in a world so foul.

I disappeared into the mist of dust,
Hypnotized by those laughter bursts.
Lost in those village roads,
Place where huts and trees abode.

At last,I have reached the proximity
Of, the sound of conjuring beauty.
I shrugged that last branch of a tree,
And I was flustered by what I see.

A mother had given her child to play,
A heap of mud and a heap of clay.
The child was forming shapes out of it,
And laughing at the figures he built.

He found happiness in things so petite,
Things, we fail to give any credit.
Lost in the responsibilities borne,
Alas! Essence of life is forgotten,
By us ,the grown up ones.
